Summer Day Camps
Tip of Spear is excited to announce that we are now offering Summer Day Camps for teens in the month of July!
You can't be with your teen all the time, and the older they get, the more time they'll spend away from the family, at school or activities and with friends. Equip your teen to make good life choices and take care of themselves by learning how to escape and defend themselves.
Tip of Spear Summer Day Camps are for teens ages 12-18. These are co-ed classes for teens who would like to become confident and proficient in the basics of defending themselves in real life, with a healthy respect of using physical force. Teens will be able to learn the entire first level (P1) and can take the optional exam on the last day which allows them to move onto the next level. Those who take the exam will receive a certificate and two clothing patches. If they have taken IKMF Krav Maga before, they will be able to work on their next level. Teens of similar age and size will be partnered together.
Each camp is a week long, and runs Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm. Check-in will begin at 8:30 am each day and participants should come prepared with a bagged lunch and water. Pick up is available until 4:30pm. Teens are expected to bring water, a bagged lunch, indoor running shoes, their Krav Maga t-shirt and shorts/pants.
Please read our FAQ section for any additional questions about the exam, uniform, age, level of fitness, past trauma and more.
