Started Krav Maga in 2024

I’m Ludovic, a British giddy optimist with a dry sense of humor, a passion for people, and a deep respect for real-world readiness. I’ve been training in Krav Maga since April 2024, building on a foundation of Karate and Kickboxing. While those arts gave me structure, Krav Maga gave me clarity, because it’s not just about fighting; it’s about staying focused and prepared when life gets messy.

One quote I often reflect on is: “Train like your life depends on it, because one day, it just might.” It’s a serious reminder, but also a simple truth. The world isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. Knowing how to stay calm, breathe, and act under pressure isn’t optional, it is essential.

I train at Tip of Spear because it blends technique with practical application. It’s a place where you can learn at your own pace, surrounded by people who are generous with what they’ve learned. I’ve been in high-stress situations, and I can say with confidence: the ability to compartmentalize and slow your mind is as important as any physical skill.

Outside of training, I’m a huge Formula 1 fan, a home cook, and I love swimming to clear my head. I also believe in sharing knowledge, because in today’s world, helping each other is more than just nice; it’s necessary.

If you see me around, don’t hesitate to say hi, I’m always up for a chat.

Started Krav Maga in 2023

I started training in Krav Maga in 2023 because I wanted something that truly works. To me, Krav Maga isn’t just an option-it’s a necessity and a way of life. We never know when danger might come our way, and having the ability to defend myself gives me confidence and peace of mind.

What I love most about Krav Maga is its practicality-there’s a technique for every dangerous situation, and it allows you to get out quickly and safely. Gender, size, or even the number of attackers don’t matter; the system is designed so anyone can use it effectively.

Krav Maga has become my passion because it’s endlessly useful and there’s always something new to learn. I train at Tip of Spear because it’s the best self-defense school I’ve ever been to, and the community here feels like family.

Outside of Krav Maga, I enjoy pickleball and yoga, but one of my biggest motivations is helping others. I want to share what I’ve learned, support students in reaching their goals, and teach them how to feel safe, build confidence, and defend themselves

-“So that one may walk in Peace.”

Started Krav Maga in 2024

I started training in Krav Maga in 2024 because I wanted a practical and effective way to protect myself, build confidence, and push myself out of my comfort zone. I like how each class challenges me, both mentally and physically, and it is very rewarding to see progress not only in the gym, but also in the way I carry myself outside of the gym. There is always something new to learn, refine, and grow from.

The environment at Tip of Spear is so welcoming, professional, and encouraging and I’m honored to be given the opportunity to give back to the community here by supporting students in their journeys of personal growth in Krav Maga. It’s so rewarding to watch others gain confidence and strength, just like I did and still do. The instructors and students here create a space where hard work meets a super fun time!

When I’m not doing Krav Maga, I’m busy being a full-time graduate student studying paleontology. I also do other activities at the gym like yoga and strength training, I love curling up with my cat and a good book, and I’m also a nerd for history and language.
