About the event
Empowered Self-Defence is a new program created specifically for members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Designed, vetted, and taught by members of the LGBTQ+ community, this course addresses the unique physical and emotional safety concerns LGBTQ+ individuals may face. Participants will learn practical self-defence skills in a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment.
Come build confidence, connect with community, and have fun while learning vital skills to help keep yourself safe.
Allied family members and friends are welcome.

This is a self-defence seminar specifically for LGBTQ+ to equip them against physical and sexual assault. Teens 13 years or older are permitted to attend, and their waiver must be signed by a legal guardian. It is recommended that a legal guardian take the training with anyone who is a minor.
